This shaft will save you 8 pounds of rotating weight and, in addition, offers a stiff, high performance carrier bearing along with replaceable solid 1310 u-joints. This new shaft also has a chromoly billet trans slip yoke and a 1-3/8″ heavy duty center spline. The front shaft is 2-1/2″x065 DOM steel and the rear shaft is 3″x125 wall aluminum. April 18th, 2011The Team at PST recently received this e-mail from our customer Jim Jones in Texas, “Just wanted to let you know that I had purchased one of your carbon fiber driveshafts for my 2002 Chevy Duramax diesel pickup. We drag race the truck and the truck has been dyno tested at 1053 hp at the rear wheels. We have run a new best 1/4 mile at the NHRDA Texas Nationals of 10.498 at 132.54 mph; and the truck weighs over 6,800 pounds.
