Description
A Chromoly steel driveshaft is highly sought after for its unique properties. Chromoly is a chrome-alloy steel with added carbon content for increased strength, used by many racers in high horsepower applications. But PST doesn’t stop there. Our 3.5-inch Chromoly Steel shaft also comes with 1350 Series “Gold” solid U-joints that are designed for the stresses of drag racing. This PST driveshaft is recommended for dragsters with engine output up to a screaming 3,500 HP.
Every PST driveshaft is manufactured to the industry’s most rigorous standards:
• Hydraulically straightened tubing built to a .005” total turnout at the center
• Tube yokes welded to within a .006” runout on each end
• Computer balanced to less than a ⅛ ounce/inch variance as an assembly
SFI Certification
Our Chromoly driveshafts are able to be SFI certified. If your racing plans require SFI certification, be sure to request this when ordering.
Ready To Order?
PST builds each driveshaft to precise specifications. To order, we’ll need to know:
• Seal-to-center dimension (see Diagram N/dimension “X” in our measurement guide)
• Rear U-joint size
• Maximum RPM
• Maximum horsepower
• Transmission type
