Our Sportsman 3.5-inch aluminum driveshaft is a less expensive alternative to our .120 wall aluminum driveshafts. The Sportsman is an ideal choice for minimally modified cars. The Sportsman shaft is capable of handling up to 700 horsepower, and is only available in 1350 joints. It is also the preferred shaft for the Pontiac GTO.
And we ensure the highest quality thanks to 6061-T6 tubing and the durability of 1350-Series “Gold” solid U-joints.
PST’s approach to superior driveshafts includes engineering our products to exacting standards.
• Hydraulically straightened tubing built to a .010” total turnout at the center
• Tube yokes welded to within a .006” runout on each end
• Shafts are computer balanced to less than a ⅛ ounce/inch variance as an assembly
Pro Tip: Once the Sportsman shaft has been built, it is unable to be shortened later down the road. Also, this shaft is only available with a 1350 u-joint for the rear.
This 3.5-inch shaft is well-matched for most uses up to 400 horsepower. For applications up to 1,200 horsepower, try the 3.5-inch .120 wall version.
