Description
Our 3” Custom Steel Driveshaft is the perfect combination of horsepower, reliability, and practicality. If you are putting out less than 950 horsepower and your shaft is not over-length, then this is the most cost effective solution to meet your needs. Steel shafts are a little heavier than aluminum or carbon fiber, but if you are not someone that is looking to bring your race times down, then this shaft will meet your needs and exceed your expectations.
This high-performance shaft is built to the most stringent industry standards.
• Factory-straightened tubing built to a .005” total turnout at the center
• Tube yokes welded to within a .006” runout on each end
• Shafts are computer balanced to less than a ⅛ ounce/inch variance as an assembly
This steel shaft is for applications with a driveshaft measurement of 56 inches or less (this is the measurement from the transmission seal to the face of the pinion yoke/flange).
PRO TIP: Selecting the proper U-joint series is vital with applications above 500 horsepower. We offer all standard pinion yokes for 1350-Series U-joints if an upgrade is necessary.
